Ashli Babbitt still not found

 Update on previous post

Like so many articles, it's not that it wasn't created, edited, made into information, it is that the censors at Wikipedia have a tactic for deleting articles, calling it a redirect.

When an editor can't just delete, they do a redirect, which deletes the article, but leaves all the edits, so you can actually watch how it works by going back in time.

Shallow water waves, deep water waves

Shallow water waves are waves that occur in water where the depth is less than about half the wavelength of the wave. In this context, the water depth significantly influences the wave's behavior, causing the wave speed to depend primarily on the depth rather than the wavelength, unlike deep water waves.

Of course the term is used on Wikipedia, it's that there is no entry for it.

And of course there is no explanation of deep water waves.

A deep water wave is a wave that occurs in water where the depth is greater than about half the wavelength of the wave. In this context, the water depth has minimal influence on the wave's behavior, and the wave's characteristics are primarily determined by its wavelength and frequency.
The entry for "tides" never tells you a tide is a shallow water wave.  Which is just so Wikipedia
A tide can be considered a shallow water wave. Tides are extremely long-wavelength waves driven by the gravitational forces of the moon and sun, and their behavior is influenced by the ocean's depth, which is typically much less than their wavelength (often thousands of kilometers).

I know full well that if I try to add those entries, and edit the tide article, there will be objections and trouble lol

Which is why I started this blog

You can quickly find out of something is not found on Wikipedia by doing a Google search.  If there is an article it will show up at the top of the search.

Coastal Wiki has info on shallow water waves, but no article.  I'm not sure if Wikipedia allows another Wiki to be used as a source.

Wolfgang Gleißberg

No article on Wikipedia, but he should have one.  Of course.

Image of sunspot data

This used to be in the article on the Altithermal, or Holocene climactic Optimum

It was removed by William Connolly, who is notable for removing not only a lot of information, but banning users who argued against his rampant censorship of information.

He lost his high status there for doing that. But of course he is still deleting information almost every day.  One of the many self proclaimed experts who wants to control what you can read on Wikipedia.

He was banned from editing Climate Topics, 15 years ago.  While the entire story can't be found on Wikipedia, some of it managed to get through on the article about him.  A lot of it was removed during a very long edit war, which is ironic, since he was the source of so many edit wars.

The same paper noted a 2009 Wikipedia arbitration in which it was concluded that Connolley had used administrator privileges to his own advantage in content disputes,[28][circular reference] and these privileges were removed.[27] Other academic papers have discussed Connolley's editing activities on Wikipedia and the dispute resolution process as it has been applied to him.[29]

And of course he is back to deleting information on climate topics again.

Update on "bottom friction", which is now found and not found at the same time

Not found and found at the same time!

Until I created the article I did not know about this one.  When an article is turned into a draft it can't easily be found, it does not show up, even when it is on Wikipedia.   Turning it into a draft is done with a script, the privileged Wikipedians have all kinds of scripts, bots and other means to remove content.
